Covid
A new wrinkle in my life....my sister and bro in law both have serious
covid, both in hospital with Bill fighting for his life. A lot of loose ends to collect and I'm the collector. Some of my promised dates to my great customers will not be met but I'll do my best. Alice and I still kickin'. Life getting in the way I guess. Charlie ny |

Very sorry to hear about your family members, your customers appreciate all you do and will understand a small delay. If possible everybody don't hesitate to get vaccinated, there's too many good people we've lost this last year.

Re: Covid
Hey Charlie . . . I'm praying for you and your family - hopefully they both beat the beast back and get out of the hospital soon.
The medical establishment knows a LOT more about treating COVID today than a year ago! Family comes first - your work to support our hobby is a distant second. Hang in there - do the best you can to support your family and worry about the other work later. |

Hope you have been vaccinated, Charlie. Out here in the Midwest, the virus has spread, and is deadly. I'm not sure why anyone would refuse the necessary shots. Even if you survive, the damage is permanent.
Best wishes, Bob |

Re: Covid
Sorry to hear. I thought most 65+ have been vaccinated. I don't know your family memebers age or situation.
I get my second this week. A vaccine isn't going to make you 100% immune forever, but it's a way to introduce your immune system to this new virus to fight it better forever. There will be boosters in the future to help with mutations. Best to shakehands with this virus by getting a shot then just getting it and rolling the dice in my thinking. My brother is a pharmacist. He says this will be around for a while and the sooner people get acquainted with it the better. Get a shot and let your body do it's thing. Sorry to go on. Fuel/carbs/flatheads are secondary to your family. I hope your brother-in-law pulls through well. Be well everyone! |

Hoping for a speedy recovery.
The V8 world has lost more than one member to this scourge, unfortunately, to say nothing of the thousands of others. I got my tax as soon as it was available to me, even though I had to drive 45 minutes to get it. Well worth it.

Re: Covid
Got mine Pfizer on Tuesday. Couldn't sit for a few minutes! LOL. But seriously the only side effects is a slightly sore arm at the injection site and a nice sleepy sensation. So if anyone out there is dubious about the vaccine don't be and do yourself and others a huge favour and get it!
