1940 Ford Convertible Top Bows
Does anyone know where I can get the special machine bolts and copper spacers for the top bows on the '40 convertible? I have the caps for the rivets. I also need the piece on the passenger side between the top bow and first knuckle. The tab broke off. I believe it is cast aluminum; I'm trying to get mine fixed.

Got a picture of what you need?? I might have one. Might try Roy Nacewicz for the bolts. When I built mine he didnt have them but that was 17 yrs ago .

Ken,
I belive that a company named Totally Stainless in Penn. makes the bolts. I have directed a number of customers to them for top iron bolts for various years and those that I have heard back from seem very satisfied. Roy Nacewicz |

Thanks for responding. I will check on the status of the part being repaired, and maybe I can give you a part number.

Just got word part can't be repaired, do you have the piece that goes above the passenger side? On the top bow, across passenger side window, first knuckle joint?

Is it the piece that's made of diecast?

Re: 1940 Ford Convertible Top Bows
This whole piece is about 22-23 inches long. I would buy the whole piece to get it. The part I need is at the knuckle joint. It's riveted to the piece above the window on the passenger side. I need the passenger side. The part number for the driver's side (which is probably one digit off) from the passenger side, is 01A6653109. Would greatly appreciate any help.
