Amazing hobby that keeps on giving....

I've seen an article on the web about the DeLuxe Pickup - of course I can't find it now. Anyway, it had a concept drawing - don't remember whether it was "official" Ford. IIRC, the truck in the drawing had a slant windshield top sorta like the 3-window coupe pictured in post #32 above. It had TCD side lamps on the quarter panels behind the doors.

other then the "landau" lights........ looks good.

Personally think it looks like an early 32 and sure Ford was on the quest of designing for the following yr.

Thanks so much for the great contributions to this thread. I'm like a kid in a candy store or with the "new" Sears Christmas catalog (remember those?) when I see all these different Model A styles. I want them all.

I think we could start a new thread on the Deluxe Pickup. The one in the pictures does not look like the one in the drawing. Was the truck in the drawing ever built?

Yep, that's it - thanks! From the pix you posted, a few actually were built. Although it looks like it has the 78-B or maybe 78-A box rather than the 66-A Deluxe box.
