Default Where do I drill the holes to mount cowl light on a 32?

I want to put cowl lights in the proper place on a 1932 Ford. Can someone give me the exact details or where to find a template?

Use a hole punch for clean edges.

Look on the underside of the cowl. There may be a re-inforcing plate there.

I am very sorry that my 32 Ford Cowl is inaccessible, so I can't get accurate measurements. I hope that this photo helps is of some help. I am sorry that I can't do any better.

All but some very early '32 passenger car bodies have those reinforcing plates with the requisite holes included whether or not the body was destined to be equipped with cowl lights further down the assembly line.

I don't know if the size is the same as the hole in the reinforcing plate on Model A's but Bratton's sells a Cowl Light Installation Tool. It's a dowel that fits in the hole with a hardened pin in the center. Insert the dowel and tap the pin and it locates the exact center of the plate. PN 18430 at $3.00.

For some reason, the picture that I attached to my earlier Post went missing?
This is the best that I could do, as the cowl is in a very inaccessible location.
