Need some feeback guys! I posted earlier this year on my experience with the Coker Classic radial tires and wire basket hubap noise and digging into the tire with the wire clips.

I'm thinking about switching to the American Classic radials from Coker as they say they are better... whatever that means. I just don't want to spend a tone of money on new tires and have a big problem. As many folks who are running wire baskets I can't believe no one else post issues. I might not mind switching to the new ones but then I understand from Casco they kind of have the same issue. Sure wish they made them 1/2" smaller in diameter which would have been closer to the od of the wheel lip.

Let me know what your experiences are pro or con.

Many older factory wheels, those before radial tires were factory original, will flex when radials are put on. Wheel covers will be a problem. Radial tires flex, but the wheels do too. Newer wheels are made a bit different.

Have you looked into getting a set of the reproduction wire basket wheel covers?
They don't use the annoying original spring clips and shouldn't have the same problem, and while expensive, they're not quite as pricey as another set of tires.

PS: I'll take your old tires off your hands, cheap
