Default Anyone know an independent upholstery/top guy?

I've been trying to get my 1919 Ford Touring in for front and back seat upholstery, and have gone to several commercial shops here in Illinois. They are all backed up for months, and I was hoping to have my car ready by July 4th.

Does anyone know a guy/gal who does this kind of work in their garage, and is within a three-four hour drive from Chicago? (and is not so deluged with work that they tell me to leave the car, and they will call me, don't call them?)

Or a canvas/top guy?

Already talked to Bruce Mapes. He's one of those local commercial guys who has a backlog of two months.

Jack Daron:

I am on Elizabeth's schedule, and I sincerely appreciate the lead. She sounds reasonable to deal with, wish me luck.

Elizabeth has an excellent reputation within the Great Northern Model T Club here in Minnesota. I bought one of her tops and I'm excited to see it on the car. I've seen the quality of her work on a lot of open cars and have always been impressed. I've also heard stories within the club that she will work with a customer until the project is done and then is always available beyond that. I was also impressed with how competitive she is with her prices. Elizabeth is instrumental in the manufacture of her product. She's not just a distributor, she is also the manufacturer.
