Default Stipes Machine

Are Stipes Machine always difficult to contact? Mailbox is full, don't answer their E-Mails, nothing. Like to get information on another pair of lever shocks.

Finally got a live body at Stipes. They are 6-8 months out on shocks at the best. Plus they are moving the operation to Kentucky. Wondering what my options are? Just need a pair of nice early shocks that take the bolt on arms.

Snyder's are about the same price as Stipe's which are made in the USA. I question the lineage of Snyder's? Not demeaning them just speculating.

Call. Talk to Trey (Don Snyder III). He will give you a straight up answer.

Gary,

Have you seen those Elmer shocks that Salt City Speed Shop make? They are friction shocks but take stock arms.

Here's a link to their website.

Also, a company called Goliath Speed Equip. are making a really neat looking shock.

Those Goliath Speed shocks are really cool. Sent them a message, we'll see how it goes.

Ive used stipes and Brattons (sames as Snyders) shocks. By looking at them the stipes shocks are a piece of jewelry, but both perform well. Don Snyder does not sell junk, and I have a set of the shocks both they and brattons sells on my 31 Victoria and the perform as they should

Another option is to checkout Rotoshim from the UK - a completely new design of a performance lever shock. I believe they have both A and 32 types.

They're not cheap, but I sure would love to have a set to try out! LOL

Seems reasonable since they come as a pair.

For my 40+ years in business I have always returned calls and e-mails good or bad. That's how I was taught.

For the two UK companies, it's possible they are on holiday. Companies pretty much close down in August for a lot of Europe.

I just saw a post on Goliath's Instagram account that they are working on smaller castings that will be a direct fit for the Model A/B bolt spacing.

I guess one can assume their current versions are not.
