A very sad day as Country music has lost a legend. I'm sure, like me most of you have spent many hours working in the garage listening to Merle over the years.

A legend in his own time and a mentor to many.
He died on his birthday but his music will survive.

I had a chance to purchase his 57 T-bird years back (80s). I always kick myself for not doing that. It was for sale @ a reasonable price too.

Naaaah..... it didn't die that day but it must have made Don Mclean a sh*t load of money! Been a lot of good stuff since but I agree with one of the earlier posters here that most of the music today is bollocks.
