Red face What motor is it

Hi could someone tell what flathead motor is painted red ? it has a two bolt mounting hole for dist and a V type cap. Iam changing to a crab style .The cooling fan is on the crank . I think it is a truck motor.because it has larger than car pressure plate . Thanks again John

Sounds like a 45-48,you can use your old 2 bolt dist except for the caps, rotor and clips and cap gasket. I have all of it.USA made. ken ct.

You have 2 different questions, really...what engine and what was it in.
First, look on bellhousing for a "59", the likeliest flying guess from the inadequate information. If so, '45-48 like Ken says, but your setup of accessories is not for a '46-8 car...this engine became essentially the universal replacement flathead for early Fords. If no 59 mark, a LOT more info is needed to ID the engine itself.
Fan on crank would be from some '39-41 car applicaton, some of the pickups of that period, and I think some later big trucks.
Clutch sounds likely to be 11", truck and HD option for others.
If pulleys up front are 2-sheave, the thing definitely lived in a truck. If single sheave, it is likely from a car or pickup.
