Default Tour at the Eastern

Day 2 at the the Eastern. A 150 mile tour with 95 oldies. 85 degrees, sunny and humid. Left at 8:30 and back at 5:30. A long day but fun. Well, we have seen enough covered bridges for a while (7). A few cars didn't make. The heat got to them. And some that did, needed a drink every so often. Tomorrow is judging day. Sunny again but a little cooler and less humid. So, should be relaxing. The Ladies are leaving on a shopping tour and cruise on Lake George tomorrow so they will miss all the tech talk.

Go to earlyfordv8.org and look at national news.

Tom, it is the eastern national meet for the Early Ford V8 club. It is in Saratoga NY this week. NExt one will be in Hiawee (spelling) Georgia in June 2012. The web site there is not as active but they have regional groups that meet once a month or so and do local stuff. A different regional hosts the national each year.

John, you said 95 oldies were in attendance, but how many cars...LOL. Looks like you are having fun. That's beautiful country, looks a lot like the North Georgia Mountains. Vic

John, it looks to be a nice trip, very nice landscape!
Run you in single strap, if so, how do you keep up all the cars, I think of intersections, and any red lights?

Tom. We’re having a tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway October 14th to 16th and an impromptu meet/tour at the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, GA from October 21st to the 23rd. You don't have to be a member of any club to participate in these two events; you just have to show up. JM has put the BRP Tour together and there is info on it here on the FordBarn. I have been promoting both events here and on the non-Chevy section of the ChevyBarn.com. Come join in on the fun. Vic

The logistics were worked out pretty well along the tour....we had police at most intersections directing us through! Not many lost along the way.

Actually, the next National Meet will be in Auburn, IN next month. The Central National Meet. Also listed on the Early Ford website along with the Early Ford Foundation website.

Having fun in Saratoga Springs, Pat
