Angry 40 Ford Cowl Vent Seal

Does anyone out there offer a 40 vent seal that actually seals!
I have an older Drake seal that is too thick for vent to close.

I had same problem. bought a vent seal (imported) )for our '41 and sealed great. repainted the car and replaced the seal with a Drake or Carpenter seal and had same problem. believe I ground it down on back side to get the vent to close.

Rubber is workable if frozen. Try that. Used this method on the thick '32 cowl seals. Newc
