Unhappy Grille parts

I have a 1954 Crestline & am looking for the L & R grille ends that attach to the front fenders, part # 8224 & 8225.They bolt to the ends of the grille, wrap around & also bolt to the front fenders. The shop I had rechrome my parts lost the 2 ends.
Any help is appreciated!!

Thank You

And I also suppose that they will not compensate you in any way?

The FORD PN's are BM 8224-B (RH) and BM 8225-B (LH). It might help in the search.

MPC TEXT mentions without parking lamp holes (only style listed), so there was more than one style?

you might try shoebox central, they specialize in 49-51 fords, but may have or know where to get the parts you need. They do have new and used parts for other Ford and Mercury cars.

The chrome shop will do the chrome for free if I have to purchase different ends. If he has to get them, he is going to charge me!
I will try some of those ideas from above!
Thank You all.

I had a friend that was into lots of old stuff-55-57 Birds, old gas pumps, antique cash registers, etc. Whenever he would take stuff into a restorer he would lay all the parts out on a white sheet and take several photos. Then with an inventory list and the photos, the shop would sign of that they had received all of the items. If they lost something they had to find the piece from a suppilier. A plating shop in Dallas lost some brass strips that went between the key banks on an old brass cash register. The shop finally found some from a collector in Dayton, OH and got them replaced-all at their cost.

It's a shame that there arent more places to get parts rechromed. They should pay for the parts and you should only be charged for the chroming of one set.

I only found 3 places in this area to have parts chromed, & this place was highly recommended! I have to cut him some slack since he had a stroke earlier this year & is now trying to finish his jobs. I still don't know if he will try to find replacements, or if I am on my own!

There used to be a salvage yard outside of Phoenix, AZ. called Desert Valley auto parts. they specialized in old cars. I don't know if they still are in Business. worth checking out. If they are still in business, they probably can come up with what you need

Below is the URL to contact the salvage company that Jim told you about.
I did a quick search there and they showed a '54 Ford with grill ends.

John H. a few of us here have given you leads as to who might have
the '54 grill ends. Curious if any of these leads had one or both of
the ends you need ?
Please let us know if you still need help finding them yet ?

Back on 9/25 Grim70 posted about losing another salvage yard in Tigerton WI, I called him & went up there & found the left part was not to bad, the right one was totally rusted out. I found another yard in Mauston WI that thinks he has some 54s in his yard, We are going up there this week, if we find the right one I will let everyone know!! Thank You !

After our trip to Manthey Salvage in Mauston WI, we are still looking for our grille parts. Lots of cars at Mantheys but no grille parts.
