Heater inlet tube on firewall

My '31 Tudor has an open tube on the firewall where an exhaust manifold heater was connected at some time.

I wanna plug this off. I measure it to be 1-7/8" inside diameter.

Is there a common simple device that works well to plug this tube off?

The heater door should have a cover, if it doesn't replace the whole thing.

Order up a hole plug. This link has standard metal button type plugs.

The Wilkie types (metal plug buttons) are used a lot in aviation. There are all sorts of them on that link but I know the metal types are sized up to 2-inches.

Wilkie plugs will not work on my "A". The firewall has too many compound curves in this area.
