Cinncinati, OH barners
All,
The family and I will be heading to Cinncinati area in a couple weeks for vacation. We may try to head to The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village while we are out that general area. How many of you guys are near Cinncinati or possibly along the route from CT? Are there any must see attractions or places to eat? Red |

I'm confused, the Henry Ford/Greenfield Village isn't in Cincinnati.

It is however, in Detroit, and in going there, it's very convenient to stop in Auburn, IN and see the Early Ford Foundation Museum, the Auburn-Cord-Dusenburg Museum, and the American Auto and Truck Museum. I was there before the Ford miseum was up to speed, but can assure you the A-C-D is not to be missed. I cannot decide which I enjoyed more, the A-C-D or Don Garlits' Museum of Speed in Florida.

Re: Cinncinati, OH barners
Here are a few suggestions I have for Cincinnati:
Findlay Market, old city market in the Over the Rhine district with lots of options for lunch. Rhinegeist Brewery is nearby. Skyline Chili, lots of locations, I like a 5 way: chili, spaghetti, beans, onions and cheese. Very casual Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, OH; it’s a grocery store with a beer and wine bar inside and a lot of other stuff. Be sure to check out the restrooms in the beer/wine area. I like getting sushi for lunch and a beer. Just up I-75 in Dayton, OH there is the Air Force museum in at Wright Patterson AFB. There is also a nice Packard museum in an old Packard dealership. If you do plan to go up to Dearborn, MI, you can also veer a little to the West to Auburn, IN and visit the Early Ford V-8 Foundation and the ACD (Auburn, Cord, Dusenberg) museum. There is also the Gilmore in Hickory Corners, MI. That takes a full day to look through all their buildings. Hope you have a great vacation. |

Short drive to Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton which is the home of the Air Force museum. It is a must see !!
While in Cinn, Try three way or four way chili, and ribs at Mongomery, the boat house has a lot of hhistorical sporting jerseys and gear and a fantastic view of the Ohio river. |

Re: Cinncinati, OH barners
Thank you all for the advice. I think I will send a message to the Van Pelts to see if it would be possible to stop by there place to check it out.
