1938 85 1.5 ton hand start crank
My 1.5 ton has the provision on the end of the crankshaft for a hand crank. Did these trucks come with them? Anyone have one? Mine looks like its missing the support on the bottom of the core support for the crank also.

My 35 has what I believe is a crank support that flips up from behind the bumper. I don't have a crank.

Re: 1938 85 1.5 ton hand start crank
I'm not sure what you're looking for regarding the structure of the access holes thru the radiator and grille shell for the hand crank, but the attached photos of those access holes on my 1940 Ford Tonner show the holes and the metal bracket in the radiator that would have been used to help support the hand crank. The finished product photos give a better picture of how they look. I had the radiator rebuilt using all the OEM brackets and same core size and dimensions. Hope this helps.

Ah, thank you. Mine is much different. Mine goes below the radiator and I think my bracket would mount to the bottom of my radiator but my bracket is missing.

Picture from the bottom of the truck bottom of radiator and hand crank snout on the crank pulley. Looks to me like a support is missing from the bottom of the radiator Other picture is grill crank hole |
