For sure. May have to do that. But what's the marketability once it's done [emoji23]

I can imagine it in Jay Leno's stable...
Big dollar restoration needed, but small 'coin' for Jay. .

Re: 38 Ford Bus
I had a friend who had an antique bus and the insurance man made him swear on a stack of Bibles that he would not haul more than 4 non family members.

Re: 38 Ford Bus
I've been swap meetin' for two years in search of a single window moulding for my 34 Coupe. When i counted the windows in this old treasure i couldn't help thinking where the heck would you find missing parts for an old girl like this?

Re: 38 Ford Bus
I have spoken to the seller at length. Great guy! Hope this very unique vehicle finds itself in the hands of someone who can do it justice. Can’t be many of these left.

Re: 38 Ford Bus
She's a beaut allright! Rear engined pusher? Spare parts? You just make them. If they aren't factory correct, who would know, since there isn't another one to look at! Please deliver to 517 Pickett's lane......

Re: 38 Ford Bus
Guys the gentleman that owns this can deliver the bus to you within a reasonable distance if I’m not mistaken.
He tows that with an F250 hooked to a gooseneck. Apparently the gross weight of 6500 pounds is no joke. The body is all aluminum. Based on our conversations a good rewiring, cleaning of fuel system and brake overhaul, and fluid changes and you could probably drive this. Honestly I was entertaining the idea of selling one of my cars to free up money to acquire this awesome piece. This is the same Gar Wood famous for the world class wooden speed boats bearing the same name. My strategy would be to get it running and make it safe and DRIVE IT! |

Re: 38 Ford Bus
C'mon guys! That thing is ugly. There is a reason only 100 sold. Interesting, yes; but really ugly. No offense intended; just not a fan of the Pontoon design style.
