Default Flickering headlights

'29 Model A is running fine but if you use the headlights and cowl lights, the lights flicker and the amp meter needle bounces back and forth. Car runs fine and will idle without a problem. Any ideas or quick fixes.

If you are still using the original (or repop replacement) connectors at the base of the headlight bucket, there may be your problem. Also check the ground between the headlight buckets and the headlight bar. If you have had the headlight bar painted or powder coated, very likely it's not making a good ground.

I solved both of these problems by hard wiring thru the connector (using bullet connectors) and running a separate ground wire.
