Default 1931 Wide Bed Pickup - Headliner?

A friend just dropped off his 1931 Pickup for me to do the paint work. This is a late model with the indented firewall and the grained top that goes across from door top to door top. He tells me that there is NO HEADLINER and the wooden bows and metal body parts get painted body color and remain exposed. Is this correct? He seems to have done considerable research and insists that he is correct.

Ah, Ah! So there is a trim panel that goes above the door and down the door post. But there is nothing that goes above the seat backrest or that covers the inside of the curved metal roof side pieces! This makes better sense. He didn't mention that. I have contacted Mike at Classtique. It will be interesting to see what roof his trim package includes.

The Closed Cab Truck, except the late 1931 steel top cab, had black duck fabric (canvas)
which was visible from the inside. It had cotton padding below the roof material.

I assume the steel top cab is totally steel and did not have the grained material from the visor back to the rear panel. This body does not have a totally steel roof. My knowledge is mostly in the 1928 / 1929 models. 1930 / 1931 is a bit of a mystery to me. THANKS, Don
