Question Disc/Drum master Cyl. for '37 Humpback sedan

I have a 1937 Humpback sedan with Wildwood disc on front and factory original drum on back. Is there a powerbrake master cylinder and adapter that will work with original through the floor pedal?

Check with Engineered Components (ECI) in CT. They have all kinds of brake stuff for early Fords.

Thanks... I did hear back from ECI and they are at the Nationals in Louisville right now; guess they will be back soon.

Factory original brakes on a '37 were mechanical, not hydraulic. I doubt your rear brakes are original.

I think chassis engineering use to make one, use a 39 and later pedals

With the original pedal arrangement you would most likely need a bellcrank setup. Might try to post a few photos of what you currently have, but would guess it is modified with a different pedal and rear brakes.

I just put a power booster setup on my 40 coupe from Pete & Jake's. Pedal came thru the stock hole.

Thanks for all of the tips. EC has the parts I needed; will see if all goes well when they arrive and I get them installed. Found out that the Wildwood calipers on the front are dual piston @ 1.75 in., so was told by Mark at EC that I would need a 1&1/16 bore of a dual master cylinder with a 2 psi valve for the front and a proportioning valve. They have an adapter plate to convert from my 3 bolt apparatus to a 2 bolt for the master cylinder. No power booster at this time since I am running the original flatty engine and doubt that it would have enough vacuum to support the booster.

Why would a flathead have less manifold vacuum than any other engine? Short of a big cam or other vacuum using accessories should be adequate vacuum for a brake booster.

I looked under the car and the X member where the brake pedal bolts and the adjacent exhaust would negate putting a booster in place. I am not one to put the pedal to the metal so to speak and would guess that what I will have will do the trick... thanks for the tips...
