Some of you guys are funny. Don't fool yourself, Fordbarn is just like Facebook. It's a place you go to on the internet to read about what other peeps are doing or to post what you are doing. Just two different formats.

I am not on Facebook or MySpace as I can barely keep up with the antics of the folks on the HAMB, FordBarn and the couple of other car related social network spots I hang out at.

I agree that it can be an immense time waster. I just use it to follow my daughters life, as I learn more there than trying to talk to her.

It's fun; like anything else, in moderation. I keep up with family and friends, spend a few minutes a day just like Fordbarn. No, I'm not stupid enough to post when I'm on vacation, or give money, etc.

Just like anything else on the web.

I see no way to opt out. How do you do that. You can email me off the barn at [email protected]. Thanks.

The best part about facebook is you can put up political posts.

How pathetic has all of this become????
First, I'd like to extend my condolences to your family.

Second, is it really Facebook's fault or the fault of the parents for not mentioning to their daughter to wait to post anything till all family members could be notified? After all, as parents they should realize it's their daughter's generation of pereferred communication, well that and texting.

I don't facebook because I don't feel the need BUT many parents LOVE the fact that it's a way to keep "tabs" on what is going on in their lives. My sister monitors my 18 year old nephews Facebook page. He's a really good kid and my sister knows what he's been doing, with who and what his plans are. My parents didn't know a faction of the crap I did as a teenager. Like most things there are pluses and minues.

Hotrodladycruiser I want to "like" your post but it won't let me. If you want you can friend me. My wall has no parameters so be forewarned. tpye Frank MiLler for your search. The first L in Miller needs to be capitalized. It lets me stand out and the caps say FML.

Not if you are open minded enough to want to learn something. I have an intelligent diverse group of friends and sometimes we disagree but always understand that our views really have no bearing on how the country is run.

I try and keep personal info just that...personal. Don't need the world knowing my business. The wife is on like many of you to see what her family is up to and keep them informed about our kids.

Thaks for reminding me about Facebook. I created a page over a year ago and never use it, so I just logged on and deactivated my account. One less source of my personal info out on the web
