Default Intake fuel air filter

What are the pros and cons in regards to fuel air being filtered per-carburetor? Most of the "A" s I see, are non air filtered. Seems to me, that a lot of unwanted or harmful NG's would be sucked into the engine without an air filter.

Wow, I read the suggested past threads and most folks seem to like the thought of filtering the incoming carb. air. I don't have my coupe home yet. Should be here next week (first wk. in Sept.) I will probably buy a carb. intake air filter.

I agree with Bill on this one. I am amazed at how dirty my air filter gets. Get a properly sized one so it doesn't choke the carb.
