Default Long Roof Headliner R&I Possible?

The wind lace may be interfering with my door closure at the front top of my window frame. The frame may be unable to press up against the body at the A Pillar to form a seal. Wind noise while driving, water inside when wet.
The wind lace may not have enough slack and to get to it, the front portion of the headliner has to be R&I, is this possible?

No matter how tight the windlace is installed, it should not interfere with door closing/sealing. There is a lot of space between door structure and car door jam framework.
The water leaking inside suggests your door may be badly out of alignment. If so, this should be corrected as soon as possible as there may be undue tension on portions of the structure and/or hinge pins.
The wind noise seems to suggest that the window frame of the door is sticking out too far. When adjusting these '55/56 Ford doors inward toward interior or outward, the bolts holding the hinge to the hinge side of the doorjamb must be loosened.
There are 3 bolts each hinge. The bolts have the ability to slide inward toward interior of car or outward about 1/4" each way from the middle. Be aware that the CENTER bolt of the hinge may hang up if the factory sealer is poured over it as many of these are.
If that center bolt must move to correct the problem, you may need to remove the front fender to access the sealer and scrape it off. It is from this vantage point that you will see the center bolt retainer slotted hole. Don't put the fender back on till you get the door adjusted where it closes and seals properly.
The top of the door window frame should align horizontally with the mating body panels, therefore it will be recessed below the rain gutter to match the rest of the roof.
