Available brand new directly from Mel Mallory for around $300 ...

Company name is First Street Ignitions Inc. Well known

http://www.fsignitions.com/FSI_PRODUCTS.html

This might be Mel's ad as seller is located in Ponca City, OK ... same as Mel's business.

Most vendors carry them also ...

They work great. I used to run one. The mechanical advance has been redone for Model A. I also like the electronic ignition.

I run the FS Zipper distrib. auto advance system; very good customer support if needed.

I gave up on my electronic distributor several months ago and went back to the stock setup. It now runs better than ever.

They do seem to be hit and miss don't they? Some here have had and continue to have great results and others, not so much.

We have a guy in the club that had the zipper and no matter what we could not get it to run right, calls to FS and everything. We went to a stock system just to see if there was anything else that could be wrong and once we did the owner left it that way.

This IS good equipment ! I've run one of their electronic units for years and have never missed a beat. You must install precisely to their advice/instructions, for their electronic equipment. Runs good from idle right up thru the highest rpm that I've run. Of course, Bubbas special A/B distributor runs just as well. An old Mallory V8 set up right for 4 cyl A/B also performs very well ! Choice is good,eh

Running a F.S. in stock dist. 1500 miles runs great.

1.Use new on off ignition key switch.
Rainmaker wired direct to battery with fuse.

Provides very clean DC current to coil and ignitor
