Default Transmission seal Number needed

I'm cleaning up a 48 to 50, light duty, three speed, top loader to replace the 4 speed crash box in my 1945 1/2 ton. I found a rear main seal at my local parts store, but we're unable to find a number for the transmission front main seal. The seal goes inside the front bearing retainer, # 7050, and measures about 1.890 O.D. X 1.375 I.D. X .320 thick. Anybody have a part # that I can cross reference?

I may be able to locate the part through one of several catalog/on-line suppliers, but the local guys have gone way beyond in helping me find parts so I feel I have to use them if possible.

Some have a seal and some don't. It depends on the design of the front drive support housing.

His trans would have that front seal. The Ford number is 78-7052.....they should be able to cross reference that. We have them in stock ($5.00) but I can appreciate that he's trying to stay with the guys that helped him.

I use a Chicago Rawhide (CR) # 13569, readily available through most industrial bearing companies.
Good Luck,
Paul J.
