33 hood
Would any one have a pic of how the bottom front corner rubbers go on the hood,(bonnet), I have the repo ones and even though they have LH and RH on them they seem to fit nicer when fitted the other way round,
Does the side with the rivit recess go outside, I looked at the 33/4 V8 club book bit it does not show a pic of them. Thanks Lawrie |

Re: 33 hood
Lawrie, The main body (rivet recess side) of the rubber goes on the inside or engine side of the hood. All that shows on the outside of the hood are the beaded edges of the rubber. I bolted mine on with smooth head screws with nuts in the recess of the rubber on the inside. These hold tighter than the rivets and are easier to fit. Those screws are made for holding body number and patent plates on the firewall etc. The rubbers with the metal stiffener moulded inside them are best. Many repros don't have that. Regards, Kevin.

We went out for the day today with my mate and his wife in their 33,I had a good look at his and they are as you say. I have had my 33 for years and have had them on inside out all that time. Thanks Lawrie |
