Default '39 dlx choke/throttle Cables?

Working on a '39 dlx [85V8] - the choke/throttle are cables Not rods. All parts bad.
even the yellow knobs gone- any source? checked 2 of the Big guys nothing?? Newc

Hi Newc, I don't have a 39 but I saw this and a couple of other bits on Michael Driskell's site www.thirdgenauto.com

Give him a ring, no telling what he's got in the warehouse and what kind of good advice he'll give you on the project.

Newc,
The first design in '39 did in fact utilize cables. There are no reproductions.
When I'd restored an early '39, I had purchased cable by the foot and made my own with reproduction knobs.
I've attached a photo that pretty clearly ( I believe) depicts all of the pieces you need for a correct restoration of this design.

ahaa; The dreaded early style with a normal hood latch yet. And I have an early hood [39] in in stock and no one wants it also. thanks Newc

I'm surprised there's been no comment on the governor installation

That's a NOS piece compete with lead seal. Well, it was until I'd installed it. I did modify it internally so while it appears "perfect" it does not limit the speed.
