differential temperature
I took my A for a 20 mile ride today and just for the fun of it put my hand on the banjo to see how hot the oil was. It was warm enough that I couldn't hold my hand on it for more than 20 seconds. It was only 75 degrees out and I had been running at 45mph. Does this seem right? It is full of 600w oil. Thanks, JB

Re: differential temperature
Sounds too hot to me. I drove mine 17 miles when it was 85* out and then shot it with my temp gun and it was under 100*.

Re: differential temperature
Thanks Tom, I will be looking into it. The car seems to lack power also. Maybe the perload of the carrier is too tight. JB

Re: differential temperature
How easy does the car roll in neutral??
I know that mine rolls easy on level ground--i can pull it with 1 or 2 fingers I havn't checked the temp of the rear recently, but a long time ago it would get a little hot to hold my hand on after a several hour run at 60 ---not enough to burn, but too hot to keep my hand on it , mine has never been apart, has moblle 636 for oil |
