35 Ford Radiator for 52 flathead?
Just wondering if my stock 35 radiator will work for a later flat head(1952)?
Im not really sure when engines went to a pressurized radiator. My 35 is not a pressurized system. Any input would be appreciated. |

The differences between the original block and the later block are not the issue, it's the condition of radiator and block that can make it or break it. You can safely pressurize a good '35 radiator to 4 lbs.

Your radiator will be fine if it has been correctly cleaned, while you will have to make connection hose changes the difference between engines heat production is insignificant.

If you can find a shop that will remove the top or bottom then actually ROD all the tubes out it will do fine. Finding that shop is very difficult.

Allen, I did my own with a 22cal rifle cleaning rod. I figured if the tubes were so weak that gentle rodding punctured them they were at the point of failure anyway. Thanks for your comment. Keith oh
