Default does anyone empty the sediment bowl for storage

I will soon be putting away the A for thr winter. After shutting the fuel line and running the carb dry of fuel. The glass bowl remains full of fuel. Does anyone empty the bowl of remaining gas to prevent gumming of the fuel in the bowl/lines ?
Thanks is advance for the replies

Cast iron shoud be opened to check for water, but I never drain anything. I only use the good gas, but if I was using the ethanol garbage I'd use some Sea-Foam and leave everything filled.

I don't think draining it would hurt anything, and would probably be a good idea if ethanol with no preservative was used.

I drain the tank, the sedment bowl, and empty the carb. For some reason if I don't, my lovely wife can smell gas in the attached house. I don't want to upset the arrangement I have, because her car stays out all winter. This frees up space in my shop for any other projects, like the 30 three window sedan I just bought and snuck in one day when she was out for coffee........

The temperature change cycles in an unheated garage result in condensation forming in the tank. If the shutoff valve is left open or leaks the water seems to settle in the sediment bowl as the low spot. I've never had a problem but wondered if a sediment bowl has ever been broken or cracked by freezing this water. I know lots of iron bowls are cracked but I've never heard of a broken glass bowl. An empty tank would be more susceptible as an empty tank has a larger volume of humid air.
