Default Progress report on our 1929 Town Sedan project

Finally getting around to installing the interior in our '29 Briggs Town Sedan and thought that I would share a few pictures of our progress with my friends here on FordBarn. We are taking a few liberties with this one to include interior lights mounted under the gas tank on the kick panels and on the bottom under the back of the front seat to illumine the rear (the lights themselves should not be readily visible, and no new holes were drilled in the door posts for the switches - just used one of the holes originally used to secure the metal to the wood behind the door posts), also tied these in to the dome light; and also will be installing front speakers behind map pockets in the front kick panels for a radio/ipod setup. By leaving the map pocket flaps down, the speakers should be relatively unnoticeable when parked or otherwise not in use.

The next step will be to cover the seat springs with the actual Bedford Cord fabric. Details to follow. Thanks for everyone's support on this project over the years.

Dick

Dick; being very new to the Barn, where can I find your pictures?

I have a 1930 Briggs Town Sedan I purchased, without an interior. The chassis, engine, running gear and brakes were restored. The body has been painted. Nice car with no body work or rust, barn find.
