Any Hubcap Tab Repair
I have 3 hubcaps (10 tab style) that most of the tabs are missing & the ones left are about to fall off. Is there any other way to mount the hubcaps on the wheel. This is going on a driver. 2 are for the spares & one for a wheel on the car. I do have a couple of the tabs that broke off

Re: Any Hubcap Tab Repair
Dirty fix: Make three cuts (red lines) with a dremel cutoff wheel. Bend up, cut narrower with tin snips, shape as tab. Wear gloves when using that dremel cutoff wheel handheld and close. Your fingers will thank you.

Re: Any Hubcap Tab Repair
never bend up all the tabs, not needed. Just bend 3, since you know they will eventually break off, then u use the others

Re: Any Hubcap Tab Repair
I have always bent all the tabs enough for the hubcap to snap in tight, then bend over 2 inside the hub ---2 to keep it on, the rest keep the hubcap from rattling
To replace "lost" tabs I have used a stud gun ---dent pulling studs spot welded each side of a missing tab |
