1931 S/W Fordor

Which way does the bottom channel face to connect to the regulator arm. Does the lip of the slot face in (towards regulator) or out?

I found some pictures before I removed the windows & the lip goes towards the inside. I started with the back quarter windows. If I would have started with the front door windows I would have seen the weather seal on the outside of the channel.
