They are available from sources that have wood kits if you are referring the belt rail wood tack strip. If you are referring to part of the steel quarter panel then you would have to fabricate patches. The usual rust places have patch panels but a person would have to purchase a whole quarter panel for all the higher portions of the body above the wheel well and sill area.

Most of the model A sources have the lower sill area patches This link to to one of the sources. https://www.brattons.com/REAR-QUARTE.../products/143/

I can't vouch for the quality of these panels but Im sure that they could be made to work if a person has the skill set and tools of a metal man.

very good rotorwrench............... didnt know they were available.

now I have just made another post of how far to go with these, concerning preservation, restoration or somewhere in between. dont know if I should "touch" the car, make the minor rot repairs or totally restore those sections?

It's not uncommon to have rot in the pinches on the bottom edges of the quarters and also around the body sub rails on the open cars. Sub rails are available in sections or complete but if you have to go that far the the whole lower body may have to come apart to repair it. If it's only small patches of rust through then a person can make patches or cut pieces from patch panels to repair it.

A friend of mine would just cut the too far gone pieces out and weld in a patch just for that area. All were hand fabricated on his metal work table. He even welded in a few penny sized patches to fill bullet holes and the like. He had one hell of a nice looking 1931 Deluxe Roadster. He did a Sport Coupe and a Tudor Sedan after that. I used to take parts off the same Tudor while it was still setting in a draw next to an old garbage dump site when I was younger. I never would have though it could be restored until I saw what he did to get it there. All he had to do was pull it out of the draw to get it home. There was no owner to purchase it from. He got a title for and everything.

Kansas weather is pretty dry so stuff lasted a long time out in the rough up there. I learned real quick about the best way to weld sheet metal with oxy/acetylene but I had training for that in aviation school and use the real small aircraft type torch. TIG may be better for some but this works well for me.

If the overall paint is good then just do a small area and find a paint shop that can match the paint color to refinish the spot repairs.

If you have an open car will very little rot then you found one that previous owners kept well and out of the weather. There's always a chance that someone did a lot of work on at some previous restoration but now and then you find a good survivor.
