I don't know, I've built a '51 F-1 and I'm working on a '53 F-100 Panel Truck... I think it would have been cooler if the builder had left the Flathead in the truck so, (as someone else said) he could drive it to BBQ events. That would be very cool.

That is great! Good old tin put to use..

You should have been around trying to kick me when I hacked the body off that old 36 coupe to make a doodlebug tractor.

Looks like he's making money with his truck which is what they are supposed to be for. The thing looks really well thought out and nice to me. Fun for picnics, etc. Seems to me it's a good draw for his business. Nothing wrong there as far as I'm concerned, and there is an interesting nostalgia aspect for people.

At least it doesn't have a sbc in it, like the one I saw last Sunday. But yeah I wod appreciate WAY more if it was running.

In my estimation, the BBQ F1 is no more of a waste than this:

or this:

YMMV

The waste on the Duallie is the Chevy engine. Other than that, he's done a LOT of work, and it shows. I don't agree with a lot of it, and I'd be lying if I said I did. It was done well, although a bit modern custom for me, but I will give him credit for building what it is. A gorgeous custom truck.

First thing I'd lose is the flaming skull stickers?? What a horribly misguided idea. lol!

For areas where bar-be-que is serious business - like here - that's an amazing setup.

Nothing on the truck can't be put returned to original and more people will be talking about the truck than if it were rebuilt to original specs.

I like it.... but then, i have three 48-50 trucks sitting around here plus a couple of '52s. I might feel different if I didn't have one.

I'm thinking the guy sounds a lot more 'southern' than Montana? Don't know where he might be from.

I don't think it's all that bad as others have said he doesn't appear to have chopped the body up and it could be reverted back to running, albeit it it would be alot neater if it was actually driveable, as others have also said so long as it was a flathead and not a sbc. Down here that would be a rather large hit as well.
The dually was actually quite nice other than the cheap simulated chrome wheels and the way they made the tail end of the truck, the major thing i dislike about it is the chevy engine and automatic transmission, and the chevy mirrors.
