Default spindle stud ball 1950 f1

Anybody change a spindle stud ball, are they pressed or threaded in, and when should they be changed. THANKS

Coupe, It's splined, Must be presssed out. I believe it' s staked on the bottom as well. You could probably tig weld the bad area then grind,file into the original shape. Ken

You can buy replacement balls from Dennis Carpenter and some of the other suppliers. The one I got from Carpenter is similar to the old as they press in and then get peened over. Some of the others require tapping and screwing in.
