Removing Door Hinge Pins
Wow - I had to really work hard to remove two of them, but one hinge pin was a real challenge. Heat, penetrating oil, MM oil, hammered drift pin, a designed puller pin tool, C clamp....nothing would move the door hinge pin. I could and did drill into the top and bottom, but in the center area there was a small section - tempered or stainless steal and frozen solid. It could NOT be drilled through. I unbolted the hinge from the car, pried it apart and then went to my bench vice. STILL could not move the remaining pin out. I “bull dog” hammered it with a few different drift tools....NG, NG.....I decided- I’ll try and used my Dremmel tool with a small pencil shape stone grinder end. It worked OK. Cleaned the remaining debris and remounted the base back on the vehicle.

Re: Removing Door Hinge Pins
Usually those door hinges are a bear to get off the car and door as well, but you did it. Good for you!! Never give up.

Re: Removing Door Hinge Pins
I can’t imagine, only one response to my door hinge problem. I think, I came up with a good solution using the Dremmel tool and I hope it is helpful to other A people.

Re: Removing Door Hinge Pins
Well I didn't actually see a question and you solved your problem so I don't think many will have much to respond about. Lots of us have been in a similar situation. Ya work at it 'til ya getter done... Good job

Re: Removing Door Hinge Pins
I was able to get mine off using the tool offered by the vendors.
