1950 Coupe Mystery pieces
I took these off this car...I think. I can’t figure out where they go. Anybody know? See pictures.
The first picture at the mystery pieces. The second is where I thought the pieces went but it doesn’t seem like they go here anywhere PS...haven’t been around here much. I’m in the Army and they’re moving me from so cal to Columbus, Ohio. So I’m putting the wheels back on this car just so I could get it on and off the trailer easier. That is why the u bolts, leaf springs and shocks look old as hell and the rearend is painted. You’re not looking at a finished product. |

Re: 1950 Coupe Mystery pieces
They look like the plates that go under the rear spring and with the u-blots hold the rear to the spring and also hold the lower parts of the shock. They are of a different design than the ones you show in your picture, so they may not be for a 50 Ford.

I agree plates under rear axle. Your second picture appears to have them installed
Perhaps these are spare or another vehicle Don’t know where else they would go. |

Re: 1950 Coupe Mystery pieces
The 2 pieces shown in the photo are not 1950 Merc spring plates. They are too small , too thin and wrong configuration. 49-51 Merc spring plates look like this.

Re: 1950 Coupe Mystery pieces
That’s funny. They must be from a maverick rearend I pulled at a scrapyard. That’s what I get for hoarding parts.
Spent a good amount of time going through images, looking through manuals..etc. and they don’t even go here. Thanks guys! |
