Default 34 crankshaft nut wrench size

It’s been a few years since I’ve worked on a Flathead, what size socket for the crankshaft pulley bolt? Thanks!

I have some that are 1-1/8" but also have one at least that is closer to 1-3/8". It's a 5/8" thread so if a standard bolt has been used it could be 15/16".

Mart.

A good case for 'measure what you've got' instead of what someone else has.

Tough place to measure across the flats on what looks like a 1 3/8" hex bolt head unless you have pair of calipers.

Don't need any calipers, it can be done with some paper board and a pair of scissors, cut to fit nut and measure. (it's called ingenuity)

Not trying to be rude here, but the only reason to ask this question is you dont have any large sockets in your tool box. If you did, you just keep grabbing them until one fits. If you dont, then you must be trying to get the correct size to either borrow one, or buy one. If thats the case, then 34PKUP has the answer
