Can anyone tell me what years a 1938 Ford 1/2 ton pickup bed is correct for?

Looks like '38-'39-'40 Ford pickup beds are the same. This is from Mack Hils in Missouri who manufactures pickup parts. Good quality stuff!!

It'd probably fit a 41 too, though the V8 tailgate would be strictly incorrect for that year.

In '42 they got 2 1/2" wider. As a lifetime cabinetmaker I daily drove a '38 tonner for 11 years. I dealt in units of 3/4 plywood and the wheel wells on a '38 are about 46 1/2" apart. A unit was 36 sheets weighing about 1800 lbs. Wedged at an angle it was the hardest thing to unload!. Everything else, bed sides etc was the same, but after '42 they could haul plywood flat on the floor. Did a run in the '47 today and in the morning I will be glad for that extra 2 1/2 for sure.
