Default New Model AA

Just though some of you would like this.

I got a call from an old friend Saturday night and ask me if I was still interested in is model AA.

This is the truck that got me started in the hobby!!

I would go by this guy's house in the morning while on the school bus and he would be going in his garage to work and when I would come back from school he would be closing up. My dad had work with him before the man retired.

I would bug my dad to stop every time we would go by is house.

One day he stopped. The guy had restored a 34 Chevy ton 1/2 and was restoring this model AA. He must have seen the shine in my eyes because the next day he had dropped off a 28 Chevrolet grill shell. When I got home from school it was leaning against the house he told my mom I could have it because he did not need it. Now that shell is on my garage wall and it’s been 26 years since that day. All that to say that I finally got the truck I always wanted.

I am a Ford guy, but I always liked the 28 Chevy grille. Nice AA and I see a newer truck peeking out of the garage!

Thanks guys!
I've been staring at it since I got it. The whole thing has been restored. I even found a ford tool kit under the seat. The only thing I did to it was install a new wiring harness for the lights. He had taking it out for some reason and it was missing. I also removed the blinkers.

I went for a short drive with it and its falling out of 4th gear. I guess I’ll Have to troubleshoot that one.
