LED turn signals
I just bought a 31 coupe that the owner installed new rear LED running and brake lights but no turn signals. What is the best way to convert these to work as turn signals also. Wiring is really not my background. Thanks

Re: LED turn signals
I would run seperate turn signals and leave the original wiring and lights alone. It'll make installation and any future trouble shooting much easier.

Re: LED turn signals
I have Logo Lights turn signals on my Sedan and they are great. Very bright and only one wire to each light. they fit between the bumpers. They also work as emergency lights.

Re: LED turn signals
Making the directionals work is fairly simple. The switch is a convenience and the flasher unit is the interupter of the brake light.

Re: LED turn signals
I also installed Logolites in my 28 Tudor in addition to a rear window brake light bar. Very pleased with the product and especially the 4 way flasher option.

Re: LED turn signals
We have used various systems to do turn signals. Bratton's sells a complete wiring harness with the turnsignal system built in. This makes a very clean installation and simple to do because you just run the wires like original.

Re: LED turn signals
I have the Signal-Stat 900 unit that I got from Sacramento Vintage. They wire this especially for the Model A and it can use cowl / Stop lights or you can provide separate lights.

Re: LED turn signals
I went with LogoLites, too. Ran the wires through 'Black Bulk Fabric Loom' from Snyders (you will need 27 feet) and used black steel wire to attach to bumper brackets, steering column so it would look sort of period correct. The right front wire went across radiator base in clips for headlight. The right rear wire uses frame clips on rear cross member by rear spring. The controller box magnet mounts almost hidden on the gas tank up under the dash. You can still reach it easily. Has 2 buttons that blink when pushed. Makes a little cricket chirp while blinking. Push both buttons for 4-way flashers. You can see them on my avatar.

Re: LED turn signals
I've had Logolites for 3 or 4 years & love them. I attached wires to frame using those black plastic "slip through" ties you can get at hardware store.
My grandchildren love to hear the chirping, cricket sound when I make a turn!!!
