Default Once in a while you see the "come hither...

...and frequently it's a Model A Ford.

This weekend in Manchester, NH

This seems to be an estate sale, not an auction. I suspect they're taking offers.

More on this including the in-town Manchester NH location at http://www.nhestatesales.com/estates/sale-138.html

Sale Friday May 9 and Saturday May 10.

No vested interest other than a curious mindset - and hate to see a project set aside in the leaves.

In 1965 this one was in the parade with an American flag attached to it's radiator cap.

Wow, thanks Joe, I'd like to be there to bid on that, I am stuck in Pittsburg for work this week and will not get back into NH till Sunday. Thanks for posting it though.

I can't believe people are still letting Model A's deteriorate like this. Isn't anyone paying attention?

What a shame it wasn't put into better storage. Those blue plastic covers are only good for a month or two. I hope someone restores it rather than rods it.

There may be hope on this since as a cabriolet, it's not so susceptable to "chop & channeling?"

And the fabric top which must be made 'custom' to match a chop adds considerably to the cost. And most of the casual rodders are more skilled and talented with an acetylene torch than a sewing machine.

Still, the Landau Irons (does this have?) add to a Rod "cachet."

Gosh Tom. I hadn't thought of "Rod" until you mentioned it. Now you've ruined my whole day.

This is not far from the gentleman in Manchester from whom I bought a Gordon Smith AC head. HE would take a restorers interest in it. And as a retired owner of a body shop he has the skills to do this up right.

I hope he sees it.

Looking at the sale site, it appears to me that if the Model A had been stored properly it would be worth more than all the other stuff in the sale combined.

When I looked at that car many years ago it was not for sale.It pretty much looked the same as it does now.If I remember right it came out of a barn in Vermont that had fallen in on it,and had been kind of open to the weather for years before that. When I looked at it the owner had bought it to rescue it,and it was under cover at that time.As it was not for sale I didn't give it much of a look over.

Hey Joe,
Wow, nice pic..thanks for sharing ! But, sad also as I can see that beauty in a parade with American flag waving as it passed..in minds' eye ! Yeah, times change,eh. I remember in '65, I was squatting dead weight..400lbs..what happened to both
