Amherst NH Antique Auto Flea Market...
...this weekend (Sunday?)
Usually held last Sunday of the month in season. I have been there as early as March but this last March was Easter - and they might have deferred? Just curious. I'm home from my field work this weekend. Joe K

Re: Amherst NH Antique Auto Flea Market...
I thought Amherst already opened.Maybe not. What sets the opening for them is when the fields are dry enough to park in.There have been a couple of fiascos over the years where dozens of cars in the parking lot wind up in mud up to the rocker panels. In 30+ years of Amherst I figured out not to bother with the first one or the last one of the year.At the first one some feel they will get rich from their parts because people have been waiting all winter and need things. At the last one some feel that car builders need to stock up because that will be the last chance for the winter. They might be right. It now looks to be mostly rod material there, but in the 70's there were huge amounts of A stuff. There used to be a Ford wheel guy there.$3. for 19 inchers and $5.for 21 inchers. You picked them out of his piles. If you want to get real money for a barn A,that's the place to do it.The rod boys are there in swarms looking for bodies. You have to be early,if you get there at 6 AM you missed the good deals, the place starts to empty out by 9AM.I looked at a 29 AA farm truck one morning,it had never been registered,it had never left the farm. That was at 5:30 AM,I had missed it by a half hour.It had sold at 5.
