Default Swap meet shade ????
Maybe off topic but fits in with the flatheads a little i guess.
My last couple swap meets outdoors i got pretty hot sitting out in the sun, looking outside at the shop i had three big umbrellas in a few picnic tables .
Had my friend DB weld me up a tube to fit the hitch and just picked it . Its 36 inches from the hitch, allows the tailgate to go down , gives shade and a seat if needed . Now add a cooler and a few early ford distributors to sell and i am ready!!!!

Bubba, Good idea! I have a Lund truck bed extender that should work ok for that also!
What the hey, there's tailgate parties starting up soon too!

You got my juices flowing for a project for Hershey this year!! Don't have a big umbrella YET, but soon will. I'm the guy you always see walking the swap meet carrying an umbrella. Kids point at me when sun is shining. Thanks for the idea.

Great idea !
This will go well with my Truck Camper Tent, especially with really hot (calif.), or when it rains...never rains in calif !!

You might want to pick up a brightly colored "pool noodle" and slip it over the horizontal leg. Brightly colored so you'll see it when you've got other things on your mind and the foam so that when you don't see it, the pain will be less when you walk into it.

Did that in 2002 for Bonneville as a spectator. Bitten by the Salt Bug, I returned the next year with a race car.
