FD5D2295-0151-4458-9788-E562336791AB.jpgUpdate on Dome light wires . Trick to this job was to barrow a Inspection Camera from Neighbor. Pass side light, center punched a hole at a angle. Drilled a hole. Fished mechanics wire from light hole to pass side Sun visor hole. Then another mechanics wire from there down to dash. Light to light wire. Used a very small electrical fish tape to get wire on top of headliner. Once again trick was to use a Inspection Camera. Stretch |

Today. Dropped Oil, Trans Oil, Rear Oil & Coolant.
So around here and the HAM… , I have been previously done a lot of FH Thermostat reading. Pass side always ran 40 degrees cooler than drivers side. So today I pull hoses off top of Heads and on the cooler running side the Thermostat is cock eyed in the hose. Stretch |

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
Easily made if you can't buy a reproduction one.
You'll need a small piece of 1/8" thick rubber - about 4" x 2". A pair of scissors to trim it and a 1/4" hole punch for the two holes. That's all there is to it. Last edited by swoopNZ; 01-02-2022 at 03:41 PM. |

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
probably if you do get one fished across, it would be laying on the headliner; and would be noticable from inside car, since original was fastened to bow....just a thought

v8j, that was a concern. But the new cloth wire is very light in weight, and not noticeable.

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
Hi Guys. Dreaming about a OD trans.
) Does a 39’ Coupe & a 39’ Sedan have the same floor pan in front of rear axle ? ) I measured 17” from the rear of Torque Tube forward to where the Floor steps down. I tried looking up Mitchell specs. Anyone know how far forward from the Torque Tube a Mitchell gear box is ? Thanks, Stretch |

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
Gentlemen, anyone have Mullins OD info ?
Mullins did called me back today, but I missed call as I was attending to a family member. As I can not find the OD specs online. I am looking into a fairly new used unit , that is coming up for sale. T/Y, Stretch |

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
When I first got my car, I immediately started researching how to add overdrive to keep up with modern traffic. Then I read a post from Kube that changed my thinking. Kube's post said something like this:
I can imagine driving our cars at 65-70 MPH. But I can't imagine being able to safely steer or stop from that speed. |

Re: 1939’ Deluxe 2DR Sedan
39’ Sedan trunk floor. It has remove able plywood panels over rear storage area. There is carpet glued to trunk floor. Question is , is there a remove able panel under my carpet to access the fuel sending unit ?

Now I COULD be wrong, but it sure does look like (to me) that your socket has provision for two pins that are straight across (NOT offset) from each other. In other words, the two slots APPEAR to be equal in septh. A 12v, dual filament bulb with straight-across pins is going to be an 1176 bulb....see pic BELOW! The socket that you have APPEARS to have "straight-across" pins, and that socket is technically called a "BA15D" type socket, for an 1176 bulb. The socket for an 1157 bulb with two OFFSET pins uses a "BAY15D" type socket. DD . . |
