Go up to the top of the main page to the Stickies, and click on Model A/AA Ford Websites...Can YOU add to the list?" About half way down you'll find a list of parts suppliers, any of which should be able to provide you with the parts you need.
Good luck with your project. I like the truck!

Ooooh you will get a LOT of answers from Brattons, Snyders, Mike's and Berts. If you want original parts then you will have to go to swapmeets, club members or Bert's. h and by the way, welcome to the club.

For original parts -Berts in Colorado
For repro parts - read the many threads on this subject. For some really special parts like wiring for a pick-up, again, read the threads: there are a few sources in this area that really make an excellent product. |

A nearby place where you can look at the parts at the counter often beats a distant mail order source even if it has a good reputation. With that thought in mind, I would like to suggest that you include your general location in your profile.

I agree Arizona Model A Parts. Sammy has a lot of original parts at reasonable prices. Berts in Denver is also good for original parts. Brattons, Snyders and others have good parts, but not many original.

It sounds like you have been given lots of leads on where to buy parts. They are all pretty good. Berts has many original parts, as does Arizona Model A. I have visited pretty much all of the major parts vendors and they all seem to have the Model A hobby in their heart. Welcome to the hobby and I hope I see you along the Model A highway soon.
You didn't say where you were located but it is good to join a local club and listen to advice from people who have been picking up parts locally. |

Since we don't know where you live, any model A vendor will work for your needs.

That's right, for all we know you could be living in Timbuktu and shipping and customs could be a significant issue. On the reverse side you could be located where a Model A vendor is only 20 miles away.

Arizona Model A is fantastic. Sammy is the man. Friendly and helpful. He certainly has looked after me. His shipping price is great and economical for customers overseas.

Re: best place to buy model a parts.thanks guys
It depends on where you are located. I get the fastest shipping and the best repro parts from Snyders. Berts has probably the largest collection of original and new old stock parts in the world. they also have the new repro parts that others handle. Like Snyders, Brattons sells the best repro parts that are available. The Brattons catalog is the easiest to navigate and has the best information of any of the how to books that I have seen. Bratton lists most of the bolt sizes and threads per inch. this helps a lot when you need to chase threads and don't know what size tap to use. They list all engine specs and clearances, exploded diagrams of most parts and the best wiring diagrams and legend info that I have seen.

the only vendor I bought from whose parts were terrible was Ricks. And true to a competitive free market system, he went out of business. But his parts are still around at swap meets. They came in a plastic bag with "Ricks" printed on it. Caveat Emptor

Re: best place to buy model a parts.thanks guys
Sombody gave me a Ricks catalog back around 1973. The catalog was nice and had some parts that I hadn't seen advertised before. Ricks started out good. Before that my sources had been Warshawsky or J.C.Whitney. I really didn't buy that many parts back then. I quit buying from Ricks, mostly because of back ordering. I don't know what happened later. Another guy gave me a Snyders catalog in 75 and I liked them best.
