Default Any difference in Model A Tudors 28-29 30-31 for Tall Drivers

I'm 6'4" 220lbs and used to have a 30 Tudor. I fit reasonably well with just the brackets turned around. My question is that I have been looking at a 28 Tudor online and wonder if there is any difference in seats like being higher or different angle etc...? I'm confident I can figure out how to get it back if needed just not sure if there are other differences. It's a considerable distance away so wanted to check. Thanks for any help!

Bratton's sells the 28-31 front seat pivot studs with a two-inch set back. Moves the seat back two inches. They are the same for all years. Part number 37281, $57.75 a pair. They appear to be forged. You only need to do the driver's side. We installed a pair on my grandson's 30 Tudor. He is a tall kid. Easy to install.

I have some in my Tudor also. It was always a little tight before and this makes it a pleasure to drive now. (1929)

30-31 is a wider and slightly larger car. it would fit you better then a 28-29.

with that said, all of them can be "adjusted"

I have found the 28-29 pickups to be the tightest and the 31 vicky to have the largest entry doors. something to consider

Go to a junk yard and buy a modern seat adjuster. Modify it by making it narrower. Then modify the seat to floor pan brackets. Put on some brackets to mount the seat to it.
no body will notice it. If done with a little thought. In my 31 tudor I now have 6 inches
fore and aft adjustment. The bracket I got was out of an old Saturn.

Post #2 - yes. I have a1928 Tudor, and I have a 38" inseam. These parts area big help, and they are strong. Easy to install, and worth the few bucks they cost.

On the ‘28, if the emergency brake is in front of the shift lever, that is an additional challenge—threading your foot between the emergency brake lever and the gas feed.

The guy from whom I bought my '28 Tudor was a tall man. He had fitted after market seat mounts that allowed the seat to slide forward and back, then clamp it where you wanted. I'm only 6 feet tall and he had the seat too far back for me. All I had to do was loosen a couple of clamps and slide it to where I wanted it.
I have since fitted other seats and those adjustable seat mounts are on a shelf somewhere. I don't think the vendors have them now.

Great point! I never noticed that but looking at different 28's, some have e brake in front which you are right would be a problem

i am 6ft 3" (192cm) with 265lbs (120kg), so, agreed, i am on the bigger side of the human beings. My car is a '31 Fordor slant ws with the front bench in the fully backward position. Once i had sorted out how i have to move into the car (both feet on the ground, not on the running board, right foot first into car, then bum on the seat, left foot into car) it was all easy. Once i am in the car everything's fine. After about 3 hours my back aches but that's maybe more me than the car and it's time for a rest anyway.

That’s the car I really want but I really had a hard time getting in one.

hard time getting the feet in? hell, yeah, you have to find YOUR method of fiddling your feet in, mine works for me. My girlfriend is much slimmer than i am and 'only' 5ft 9", but she has problems with her feet. Once in, there is enough space available.
