Trying to ID carb
Former owner said my '47 has a rebuilt '48 engine; heads labeled 59AB. I want to obtain a spare carb for trips. The engine is stock except for electronic distributer; has 34,000 and runs fine. I took pic's but haven't loaded them on my computer yet. On the passenger side the existing carb its labeled "Holley 2106 ...."; On the driver's side the lettering is mostly worn-out but it looks like script lettering set at an angle and the first word begins "B....". Can anyone tell me the common ID for it so I can search for a back-up ? I realize other brands could work as well and would be open to that. Dan

Re: Trying to ID carb
The correct carburetor for your car is the Ford model 94 with 59 cast into the float bowl on the driver's side. Rebuilts are available from several suppliers.
