Default Installing a 1929 Tudor Headliner

At our spring tuneup clinic 8 days ago Elizabeth from Classtique Upholstery also demonstrated how to install the headliner in a 29 Tudor. Start by marking the centers of the bows and center of the seams on the headliner. Then spray some 3M 77 adhesive on the front edge of the bows that get the seams attached. Stick the fabric to the glue so the seam is 1/4" below the bottom of the bow. When it's straight and correct go back and staple it in place, then move forward to the next bow.

This car owner has installed a center dome light, so that will make the job a little harder, but just cover over it, then when the whole headliner is in place you can go back and cut a hole for the domelight. The lip of the domelight will hold the cut hole in place.
