Elkhart
I am from So. Calif and on a road trip. I will be in Elkhart over Menorial Day. Is anything going on in the area?
Thanks Bill |

Re: Elkhart
A very neat stop in Elkhart, is the Vintage RV Motor-Home Hall of Fame. You can pull up their site, and check them out. They are on the Indy Turnpike. It is a really cool place. You will also be close to Auburn, Indiana. You will need days for that stop ! A.C.D. Museum, and right behind that is the N.A.T.C.O. Truck Museum. As well as the Ford v8 Museum, that is close by. Pull up their sites. Good Luck!

Re: Elkhart
ACD museum is an absolute must if you’re anywhere near.

Re: Elkhart
I'll second that about the ACD museum. The "National Auto and Truck Museum" (that "jagnweiner" mentions) is also very good. They are of additional interest in that they both occupy buildings of the former ACD plant grounds. The ACD museum is in the office building, and in addition to the fabulous automobiles, preserves Mr. Cords office and Gordon Buerhig's styling studio as if the original occupants had just left for lunch. I believe the "NATM" occupies one of the former manufacturing buildings. We all know what an exceptional job the Early Ford V8 Foundation does, but these two are wonderful.

Re: Elkhart
If you stop at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg (ACD) Museum the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum is only a few miles away (both are in Auburn, IN). Both are worthy of a visit. LouB.

Re: Elkhart
Two thumbs up for the Gilmore, it takes a full day to see it at least.
